This past weekend was a success. We had about 33 people there to help with the work day and we got a lot accomplished. We had heavy machinery donated for the weekend, so with tractors, bobcats, and excavators available we were truly blessed. The camp yard is looking great, and the roads and some of the food plots have been bush-hogged. Glad we got a handle on what needed to be done, but that wasn’t nearly one of the best things that went on.
We got to meet people from the coast, as well as, Tennessee. In the midst of those 33 people were about 15 that only knew about the ministry from Facebook and the web-site. We are so thankful for the time we got to spend with these individuals and we hope they understand more about what our ministry is about and what we plan to do in the coming year.
The best thing of the weekend by far was the message. Bro Hunsucker drove from Brookhaven Saturday morning to bring the word. He talked about how we in the kingdom of God must work together to get things accomplished. It’s so important to understand that a united front works so much better than trying to do anything by yourself. We should be praying for each other, but also lending a helping hand where we can. When we see others stumble we should lift them up and encourage them, letting them know that the body of Christ cares for each other.
Do we each realize the importance of unity in the whole body? Do we take the time to minister to others when we see a need? Or are we hypocritical, looking for someone to fail at their walk? You see being able to live the life of a Christian isn’t always the easiest thing. Trials and tribulations come, and sometimes we all fail but the important thing is that we get back up. And if we see a brother or sister downcast and ready to give up encourage them, with the word of God and testimony. Pray for each other and remember there was only one perfect Man and he saved the world. We should find humility and understanding, just as Christ would have. We shouldn’t condemn or turn away, but lift up those that are having a hard time.
It is the work of Christ that we are all called to do. Scripture says to encourage one another. Have you been an encouragement to others in the family today, if not I pray God sends you another chance.
Have a Blessed Day in Christ!
